KEY ACCOUNTABILITY
The Data Architect is accountable for data strategic planning, architecture, framework, requirements analysis, data modeling, meta data management, data integration design, development best practices, development standards and deployment process.
POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Work with Data Governance Director and Managers to:
- Align data architecture and function with the practice’s strategic goals and objectives
- Provide input into and/or create and maintain data technical and functional roadmap, current state to future state
- Provide expertise and thought leadership in data architecture, design, development, and operations
- Build and oversee data architecture frameworks to support MDM, reference, and application data solutions
- Build processes to support requirements, business acumen, and partnership with business stakeholders
- Provide guidance on healthcare projects to support building efficient processes and deliverables aligned with business strategy
- Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies, innovations, and service in data management
- Partner with data architects and engineers to define solution architectures, frameworks, development standards, and data quality best practices
- Design and specify strategies for high availability, disaster recovery, and backup
- Implement and maintain solutions for data modeling, ETL/API, data analytics, and metadata management
- Analyze and represent practice information needs in data models
- Create, maintain, and present data architecture diagrams
- Extend functional data capabilities through design and schema specification
- Guide key analysis and process in support of data quality and system performance
- Mentor and assist analysts, developers, and consumers in their use and adoption of best practices and standards
- Implement practices, processes, and technologies to ensure accuracy, validity, consistency, usability and overall quality of the data
- Partner with data architects, engineers, and developers to maintain technologies, practices, and standards for configuration, change, and release management
- Assist in team design, composition, structure, and budget planning
- Enable automation and improvements in data operations and support functions
- DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- B.S. in Computer Science, MIS, Software Engineering preferred
- 10+ years of relevant experience in a data architecture, management, integration, governance, analytic roles
- TOGAF, IASA or other enterprise architecture framework certification preferred
- 5+ years of technical leadership experience in a data architect role
- Proficient and current usage of data modeling tools such as ER Studio
- Experience with data architecture, data lakehouse, and data modeling; within the healthcare sector preferred
- Experience with creating and maintaining normalized data models for MDM, reference, and application data
- Experience designing, building, installing, configuring and supporting MDM solutions; experience with large data warehouses is a plus
- Experience in healthcare preferred; HL7 and Mirth is a plus
- Strong understanding of database and data principles, theories, process, and practices
- Exceptional critical thinking, communication, analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated aptitude for learning and assimilating new concepts and technologies
- Able to present ideas, concepts, and strategies in a manner consumable by business stakeholders
- Ability to effectively align work with stakeholder priorities and execute in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated team-oriented, collaborative behaviors and competencies
- Experience with dev/ops, cloud engineering, cloud based database platforms a plus
- Familiarity with SSIS, SSRS, Tableau, Control-M, GitHub, Power BI
- Experience in all data and data management roles is a plus
- Experience with at least one cloud platform, Azure strongly preferred - Synapse, Data Factory, Databricks, Data Stream, ADLS
- Knowledge of data privacy practices and laws a plus
2. Job Title: Data Quality Analyst – Technical
Location: Remote
KEY ACCOUNTABILITY
We are seeking a highly capable data quality analyst to develop and implement procedures to enhance the accuracy and integrity of Radiology Partner’s (RP) data. You will be performing data analysis, collaborating with end users, data stewards and database developers to enhance data collection and storage procedures, and preparing data analysis reports and/or correction. To ensure success as a data quality analyst, you should exhibit extensive knowledge of data analysis techniques and experience in a similar role. A top-notch data quality analyst will be someone whose data analysis expertise results in reliable information to support Practice business areas and processes. The data quality analyst will be responsible for supporting, tracking, and collecting information related to RP’s Data & Analytics Governance program. The position reports to Manager, Data Governance Data Quality.
Position Duties and Responsibilities
- Support RP’s new Data & Analytics Governance (D&AG) model by contributing to development and maintenance of our data quality program and other D&AG initiatives
- Performing statistical tests on large datasets to determine data quality and integrity
- Evaluating system performance and design, as well as its effect on data quality
- Collaborating with end users, analysts, data stewards, database developers and other IT areas to improve data collection and storage processes
- Running data queries to identify coding issues and data exceptions, as well as cleaning data
- Gathering data from primary or secondary data sources to identify and interpret trends
- Reporting data analysis findings to management to inform business decisions and prioritize information system needs
- Documenting processes and maintaining data records
- Adhering to best practices in data analysis and collection
- Keeping abreast of developments and trends in data quality analysis
- Creating and maintaining data quality dashboards and scorecards
- Publishing, educating and ensuring defined data quality checks and validations are understood and adhered to
DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, information management, or similar
- At least 5 years of experience in data analysis
- Proficiency in programming languages and platforms, including Structured Query Language (SQL) and/or Azure Databricks
- Extensive experience with MS Excel
- Experience with business intelligence tools such as PowerBI
- Able to perform root cause analysis
- Evaluate and analyze results relative to expectation
- Identify and effectively communicate variances to stakeholders
- Knowledge of and ability to apply data quality checks and improvements
- Script data queries to identify data integrity issues between various data sources
- Exceptional critical thinking, analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills
- Self-starter; works well in teams and independently on tasks
- Participate in initiatives to drive strategic objectives and data quality
- Takes direction well and can prioritize work for delivery
- Healthcare/Radiology background preferred
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps experience preferred
- Familiarity with ETL tool experience preferred
- Familiarity with MDM and DW solutions and models preferred
- Adherence to State and Federal, including HIPAA, laws and regulations pertaining to confidentiality of protected health information
